Daniel Owen is a Systems Technician for Sam Houston State University in Huntsville, Texas. He has been using Linux at home since 1996 and at work since 1999. Daniel graduated in December 2003 with a degree in Graphic Design but he spends most of his time working on Linux and helping find open source solutions for the computing needs for his university (SHSU) including firewalls, and web servers. He also helped setup and customize a jabber server used for messaging on campus.
Daniel is a member of the Houston Linux Users Group and he's working on getting a LUG started at Sam Houston State University. He's also responsible for the graphics on the sourceforge project known as the webber project. Webber is a php based jabber client.
